This briefing paper will be completed on an individual basis and will focus on the charter/mission of one major global health agency selected from the list below. You will critically reflect on their response to globalisation challenges using the report outline provided below.

Background on the agency In brief: history, purpose, size, governing structure, funding.
Charter/mission of agency Detail of the agency’s charter.
Agency response to globalisation challenges Critically reflect on how the agency has responded to the challenges of globalisation. For example consider what their charter/mission addresses in terms of global health, how effective this has been, what directs their approach, what are the challenges in the area and how have they responded to these.
A summary/conclusion Provide some concluding remarks on how successful the agency has been, any potential future challenges that may impact on the agency’s work, strengths, weaknesses etc.
Reference list Minimum 12 peer reviewed journal articles supported with a similar number of agency reports and resources. Students should endeavour to demonstrate Endnote use.
